  • What is the cost calculation based on?
Costs are calculated on the basis of service specifications and standard unit prices. In the planning phase, a draft design is made; this usually has an accuracy of ± 10%. The basis for this is precise information on requirements with draft plans and mass specifications for each individual trade.

  • What does the CE marking stand for?
The CE mark stands for certain safety and health requirements for products. The CE marking of windows guarantees the buyer that these requirements, which are regulated in the EU regulation 765/2008, are met. The CE marking consists of the CE logo and a four-digit identification number. The latter stands for a clearly notified body that has been commissioned to verify compliance with the requirements.
  • What is the purpose of coating?
In order to improve thermal insulation (low-e glass) or to achieve solar control, glasses are provided with wafer-thin, colour-neutral metal layers. In insulating glass, at least one coated pane is usually used, in triple glazing two. The coatings are then installed towards the space between the panes; in some solar control glasses also on the outside.

Welcome to the ENERsign® U-Value window configurator:

The U-value window is also called heat transfer coefficient and according to the standard DIN EN 10077 it indicates the amount of thermal energy lost through a window to the outside.

The U-value window is calculated using the formula W/(m²K), i.e. watts per square metre and Kelvin. This value refers to the entire window and defines the amount of energy per unit of time that flows through an area of one square meter when the air temperature on both sides differs by one Kelvin. The lower this value is, the less energy or heat the window emits.
